JIEP Spotlight

This is our quarterly member-feature where we will focus briefly on the life and work of one of our members who have made significant contributions to environmental research and policy in Jamaica.

For this quarter our spotlight is on Mr. Learie Miller: one of the few Jamaicans who has professional designations in both land-use planning and the environmental fields, Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP), Registered Professional Planner (RPP), and Canadian Certified Environmental Professional (EP).  Read on...

Membership Renewal Fees:

The JIEP would like to remind all its members that since January 1, 2013 all membership subscriptions are now due.  New applicants who were processed in the last quarter of 2012 (i.e. October - December 2012) and have paid all relevant fees will be exempt from this year's tariff.  Invoices will be sent out shortly highlighting owed amounts.

Professional Certification for Members of JIEP

Following on one of JIEP’s mandates for continued professional development of its members, the JIEP held a series of meetings with members in 2006 to determine their needs and requirements in this area.
