"LANDLESSNESS, SQUATTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL REFUGEES IN JAMAICA:
A ROLE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS"
Dr. Barry Wade, Chairman of Environmental Solutions Ltd. was invited to take the audience through a historical and frank look at the situation of landlessness, squatting and environmental refugees in Jamaica. He reviewed the wide range of problems, why they are an environmental and social justice challenge, and what role environmental professionals could play in crafting solutions to what arguably seems to be an intractable situation in Jamaica as well as in all third world countries. The forum was held on Monday December 3, 2012 at the CVSS Volunteer Centre (2D Camp Road).
